NEW YORK, Feb. 4 – Major League Baseball Players Association Executive Director Tony Clark today issued the following statement regarding the decision made in the Kris Bryant service-time grievance:
“The Players Association disagrees with the decision issued today in the Kris Bryant service-time grievance. While we respect the finality of that decision, we will continue to pursue any and all measures that incentivize competition, discourage service-time manipulation and ensure clubs field their best players. We applaud Kris’ courage and determination in challenging the Cubs’ actions and seeing the grievance through to the end.”

NUEVA YORK, 4 de febrero - El Director Ejecutivo de la Asociación de Peloteros de Grandes Ligas, Tony Clark, emitió hoy la siguiente declaración con respecto a la decisión tomada en la queja por tiempo de servicio de Kris Bryant:
“La Asociación de Peloteros no está de acuerdo con la decisión emitida hoy en la queja de tiempo de servicio de Kris Bryant. Mientras respetamos la finalidad de esa decisión, continuaremos aplicando todas y cada una de las medidas que incentiven la competencia, desalienten la manipulación del tiempo de servicio y garanticen que los clubes presenten a sus mejores jugadores. Aplaudimos el coraje y la determinación de Kris al desafiar las acciones de los Cachorros y ver la queja hasta el final ".
