MLB Players Inc., FanDuel and OneTeam Sign Licensing Agreement

NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, November 26, 2024 – MLB Players, Inc., the for-profit subsidiary of the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), FanDuel, North America’s leading online gaming company, and OneTeam Partners (OneTeam) have signed a non-exclusive product and marketing licensing agreement for FanDuel Sportsbook.

This collaboration enables FanDuel to innovate new player-centric features across its online sportsbook (OSB) platform starting in 2025. FanDuel will maintain its current use of player rights in existing OSB products while broadening the integration of MLB player IP across platforms and campaigns in the U.S. and Canada.

“MLB Players, Inc. is always looking for new opportunities to grow our group licensing program on behalf of our Players and this license builds on our existing agreements in this new category of revenue,” said MLBPA Executive Director Tony Clark. “We look forward to working with FanDuel on this partnership.”

“We look forward to the collaboration with MLB Players, Inc. which will allow for the development of player-centric opportunities on our platforms,” said Christian Genetski, President, FanDuel.

OneTeam, the MLBPA’s commercial partner, facilitated the partnership. Frank Arthofer, President, OneTeam, remarked, “This partnership strengthens our commitment to maximizing the business potential of MLB players in the sports betting market. FanDuel will set a new standard for OSB product player collaborations that drives value for all parties involved.”
