SCOTTSDALE, Dec. 4 – The MLBPA today announced that representatives from each of the 30 Clubs elected new Major League Players to the union’s eight-member Executive Subcommittee. Minor League leadership also elected one Association Player Representative and two Alternate Association Player Representatives. The elections took place during the Association’s annual Executive Board meeting:
Marcus Semien, Association Player Representative
Chris Bassitt, Association Player Representative
Jake Cronenworth, Alternate Association Player Representative
Paul Skenes, Alternate Association Player Representative
Brent Suter, Pension Committee Representative
Pete Fairbanks, Pension Committee Representative
Cedric Mullins, Alternate Pension Committee Representative
Tarik Skubal, Alternate Pension Committee Representative
The Executive Subcommittee members play a crucial role in representing the interests of all Players in the upcoming collective bargaining negotiations, union governance, and in shaping the future of the MLBPA.
To fill open seats in Minor League leadership, Minor League representatives elected one Association Player Representative and two Alternate Association Player Representatives:
Association Player Representative
Ryan Long, Baltimore Orioles
Alternate Association Player Representatives
Adam Stone, New York Yankees
Danny Bautista Jr., Athletics
These Players will serve the remainder of two-year terms that conclude after the 2025 season. They join William Simoneit of the Chicago Cubs organization, who will remain as an Association Representative.
